Personal life experiences and their influence in a writer.

We all have enjoy of literature by reading a book or a poem, but may be just some of the
people goes deeper into the reading and forget that besides all the wonderful things we can
learn from this kind of texts we can also get to know other things for example the culture of
a country or its history and even a person, which can be yourself because sometimes we do
not know ourselves completely we have unknown skills, attitudes, feelings, ideas, fears,
dreams, likes and dislikes, and we can discover this new things about ourselves through the
reflection of ourselves in the characters of the stories we read. It is really quite remarkable
what happens when reading a great novel: By identifying with a character, you learn from
within what it feels like to be someone else MORSON, G. S. (2015). Also we can get to
know the writer. Every single word including in the text can give us an idea of the
personality, dreams, goals, fears, likes and dislikes of the writer. In my personal opinion we
all should research about our favorite writer because in this way we can know why this
person wrote in a specific way and we can see the world from a different perspective. In my
personal experience I love to read books and poems and then imagine and wonder how was
the life of this writer, how was that this person came up with such amazing ideas, and also
sometimes is like debating with someone, sometimes I find things that I do not agree with
and I like to defend my ideas, yet I am always eclectic, I gather the best from different
points of view to create my own perspective We grow wiser, and we understand ourselves
better, if we can put ourselves in the position of those who think differently MORSON, G.
S. (2015). Literature helped me to improve my teaching and language skills, to be more
respectful with other points of view, nature and life itself and to express myself in a way I
cannot do with oral communication.

Literature influenced my teaching style, because in the past I used to teach with texts
that are meant for tor teaching, but nowadays I think is more useful to teach our students
trough authentic material, in this way they can get more vocabulary and know how the
language actually works. Teachers who meet Common Core recommendations about
teaching with multicultural literature need to recognize the traditions, values, and customs
of various cultures so they can make sound decisions about the authenticity of the books
they select for their students Richards, J. C. (2015). Moreover we can adapt the text we
already have to make learning into something more natural. Also is important for us as
teachers to know about literature, because in medicine for example doctors need to study
the cells so they can understand how the human body works, the same thing happens with
language teachers we need to study the very specific aspects of the language to comprehend
how it works, so that we can guide our students to go beyond grammatical rules. In addition
it is very helpful to increase teachers vocabulary as well.
During the whole course the life of some representative writers of the American literature
has been discussed. This activities helped me to respect more what is around me,

It has often been noted that, for all her sympathetic delight in nature in its
bees and birds, flowers and trees, sun and moon, sunset and dawn
Dickinsons relationship with the natural world, as revealed across the
spectrum of her poems, shows itself as deeply ambivalent.
