We have some very exciting news to share:
NASF is getting a HUGE makeover this year!
Coming into the 33rd annual North American
Snow Festival, we were presented with the
opportunity to completely reconfigure our event.
One major change will be the fact we are
bringing the festivities back downtown into the
newly renovated Cadillac Commons space.

Location: Cadillac Commons
Presented by WTCM & Cadillac Area Silent
Observer. The official kickoff event to
the NASF every year, the Chili Cook-off pits
area restaurants against each other in the
quest for the perfect bowl. Using a secret
system, the entries are all identified by letter.
Our Silent Observer volunteers serve it up to
the judges. WTCM will be onsite with a Live
Remote. The winner is the entry who receives
the most votes. Anyone with a NASF button
is encouraged to participate, but get there
early, because the chili doesnt last long!
The winner receives the traveling trophy
and bragging rights for a year. Contact

Presented by Baker College. Reigning 2016 Queen
of the Miss Cadillac NASF, Malorie Bosscher, is proud
to be the face for this years Miss NASF Pageant
and to pass on the right to a new 2017 Queen. The
Miss Cadillac NASF Pageant winner will participate
in various community events throughout the year
and will also be playing a crucial role in working
with the next years (2018) pageant contestants.
Contestants will be judged on (4) categories;
casual wear, winter wear, evening wear and a
question by one of our judges. The winner will
receive 12 college credit hours donated from
Baker College of Cadillac, with the rst runner-up
receiving 6 college credit hours (can be used on-
campus or online). Additional prizes are yet to be
determined. Every contestant will receive a gift

SNOWMOBILE DRAG RACES
in Boon, Michigan
Friday & Saturday, Feb.3rd & 4th Time: 10am to 5pm
Location: Boon, MI
Presented by Godfrey Chevrolet Buick & KLT The Rock Station. This
years snowmobile drag races will be held again in Boon, Michigan - about
7 miles West of Cadillac. This will be a SNOW drag racing event with four
lanes 24 wide for a distance of 500 with timers. The format for racing will
be Grudge Match Style you are just buying track time, race who you
want when you want. The cost for track time is $20 per snowmobile and
that gets you as many laps as you want. The track will be open from 10am
to 5pm on Friday and from 10am to 3pm Saturday.
At 3pm on Saturday we will have the Cadillac Snowmobile Shootout
featuring two classes: an all motor class and an unlimited class. The cost to
enter these classes will be $100 with the winner in each class taking 100% of
all cash money collected from entries in that class.
2017 NASF festival buttons are required for both racers and spectators at
$5 dollars each; you must have a button to attend the snowmobile drag
races!
The address for the race track is 2562 South 23 Road Boon, MI 49618. This
will take you right to the field we are racing in.

Hosted by the Cadillac Winter Warriors, Sponsored by
Daves Yamaha & Suzuki. Feeling lucky and ready
to ride? Join in the fun run! You need just a NASF
raffle button to participate and you dont even
have to own a snowmobile. Start at one of the
designated registration points before 2pm on Friday, buy a card
for $5 each (or several) and youre ready to roll. Hit any of the other 20 stops, by car or
by sled, collecting cards along the way. You can make as many stops as you want. Check in at
the Cadillac Commons from 6-8pm, exchange the cards to get a max. of 8 playing cards and
make your best possible poker hand. Lots of prizes will be awarded for best 5-card poker hands.
Must be present to win! You must register at one of the OFFICIAL points to receive your card.

miles traveled,
the oldies but
goodies will
be awarded
during the
Antique and
Vintage Snowmobile show. The antique sleds date
back to 1968 and before. The vintage category
includes snowmobiles from 1969-1974. Judges will
vote in 16 classes (details can be found at www.
nasfcadillac.com). Trophies will be awarded for all
categories, and collectors can bring any of their
spare parts for a swap meet. Immediately following
the awards ceremony anyone is welcome to join
us for a snowmobile ride out on Lake Cadillac,

SNOWMOBILE DRAG RACES
in Boon, Michigan
Day: Friday & Saturday, Feb.3rd & 4th Time:
10am to 5pm Location: Boon, MI
Presented by KLT The Rock Station and Godfrey
Chevrolet Buick. This years snowmobile drag
races will be held again in Boon, Michigan -
about 7 miles West of Cadillac. This will be a
SNOW drag racing event with four lanes 24
wide for a distance of 500 with timers. The
format for racing will be Grudge Match Style
you are just buying track time, race who you
want when you want. The cost for track time is
$20 per snowmobile and that gets you as many
laps as you want. The track will be open from
10am to 5pm on Friday and from 10am to 3pm
Saturday.
At 3pm on Saturday we will have the Cadillac
Snowmobile Shootout featuring two classes:
an all motor class and an unlimited class. The
cost to enter these classes will be $100 with the
winner in each class taking 100% of all cash
money collected from entries in that class.
2017 NASF festival buttons are required for both
racers and spectators at $5 dollars each; you
must have a button to attend the snowmobile
drag races!
The address for the race track is 2562 South 23
Road Boon, MI 49618. This will take you right to
the field we are racing in.

SNOWMAN BUILDING & KIDS CRAFTS

Saturday, Feb.4th. Start: 10am. Judging at 2:45pm, awards presented at 3pm.
Location: Carl T. Johnson Center
Construction may begin any time after 10am. Snowmen will be judged on originality, unique use of
materials, and overall construction. Prizes-gift certificates for the Johnson Center gift shop-$30, $25, $20.
There will also be Story Time and Crafts throughout the day (10:30am to 3:30pm).
Registration sheets may be picked up at the Carl T. Johnson Hunting and Fishing Center located on
M-115 by the canal. Center hours are Friday and Sunday, noon to 5pm and Saturday 10am 5pm.
A MDNR recreation passport is required for entry to the Carl T. Johnson Hunting and Fishing Center.
