The biggest producer of Coffee with Extremely low production on a

production of 27,868.53MT.

DEVELOPMENT STAGES
STAGE I (2011 2014) Consolidation/Organization
Organization and capacitation stage of multi-level coffee organizations,
putting in place institutional arrangements, increase existing plantations
productivity and consolidate existing areas into clusters.

Identify dominant coffee producing provinces to cluster
them to a single production and market unit.

- Concentrate/initial development activities to this cluster in


order not to spread thinly available resources.

STRATEGY:

Establish a Coffee Nursery, Demonstration Farm and Coffee


Training Center in the Provincial Nurseries of the cluster.
AGREEMENTS:
DA to provide funds for the construction of the nursery and its
facilities;

The Province will manage and operate the Center, provide staff and
funds for the operation and maintenance of the center;

The Cluster (province) will provide yearly contribution to fund the


production of genetically superior coffee planting materials;

Organize the stakeholders into a provincial coffee

the region.
