PULVERISER
AIM:
To determine product size and to plot graph of average particle size Vs
cumulative weight fraction of product.

APPRATUS:
Pulveriser, crushing mill granular material as feed, weight balance, sieve
shaker standard screens.

THEORY:
Pulveriser is a type of size reduction machine in which size reduction takes
place by shearing action. It consists of two heavy horizontal wheels placed
over one another. They are driven by motor through gear mechanism. Size
reduction takes place between two shearing acting between the edges of
grooves on the two grinding stones. This mill contains a hard wheel by
means of which driving mechanism can be adjusted to regulate the fineness
of product.
Material is med from the hopper and is distribution between the stone. The
material to be ground largely contained in the grooves and therefore
obtained as a discharge in the form of product at the bottom of grinding mill.

PROCEDURE:
1. Take 1 kg granular material determine its size.
2. If to calculate Rittengers constant. Bonds constant, energy meter will
be attached to pulveriser and take readings such as time required for
one revolution of energy meter.
3. Take this product and screen it is for 15 min.

4. then form sieve analysis calculate to determine
