O Lord, we thank you for the gifts of your bounty which we enjoy at this

table. As you have provided for us in the past, so may you sustain us
throughout our lives. While we enjoy your gifts, may we never forget the
needy and those in want.
Bless us, O Lord, and these your gifts, which we are about to receive from
your bounty. Through Christ our Lord. Amen

Prayer for convocation

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of today. As we are gathered here
this morning to witness our Year Six Convocation Day. We humbly ask you to
bless each and everyone of us here and to make this function runs smoothly.

Bless our pupils, especially the year six who would be learning for the
secondary school next year. We pray that you will give them direction,
purpose, and perseverance as they enter the next phrase of their lives. Give
them clearness of mind to move forward into the plans and purposes that
You have for them. May these children gain wisdom from You and have
discernment for proper behavior. Raise up Christian mentors for these
children so they have someone who holds them accountable for their
actions. We pray that they will rise above ungodly behaviors and have the
boldness to stand up for what is right wherever they study, or socialize.
Grant them success for their efforts at every turn and guide their feet to
follow Your ways. May Your hand of protection be about them, and may Your
Word continue to be a light unto their path. Help them to make wise
decisions and to always keep You first in everything that they do. We ask all
these through Jesus Christ, our Lord who lives and reigns with you, one God
for ever. Amen
