SERVICES RENDERED PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The scope of work included the following components:
Review and supervision of laboratory testwork
Development of Conceptual Flowsheet
Conceptual study report
Met-Chem has been awarded to provide technical assistance
to Gimpex for the development of a conceptual flowsheet for
treating the Ongole Iron Ore Deposit.
A metallurgical laboratory program was performed on the
samples at the NMDC R&D in India.

Met-Chem representative visited NMDC R&D and review

the laboratory testworks program and the test procedure.
Met-Chem supervised and recommended some additional
testworks to obtain all information required for the
development of a conceptual flowsheet.

The conceptual study for Ongole Iron Ore Deposit,

prepared by Met-Chem, included the analysis of the results
of laboratory scale testing of Ongole Iron Ore Deposit and
the conceptual flowsheet for the beneficiation of this iron
ore. Preliminary estimates of capacity for the HPGR circuit
and secondary grinding and concentrating circuits were
presented along with recommendations for improving the
overall iron recovery. Finally, an order of magnitude costs
for a beneficiation concentrator based on the conceptual
flowsheet was presented.
