Vibration Severity Chart

This vibration severity chart provides guidelines for acceptable vibration levels based on vibration displacement, velocity, and frequency. It shows that as vibration displacement or velocity increases from 0.01 to 10 mils P-P or 0.0049 to 0.628 in/sec, the severity goes from very smooth to very rough. Acceptable vibration levels also depend on frequency, with higher frequencies from 100 to 100,000 CPM being more severe.
