MYP Design Cycle Explanation

NOTES

The design cycle model represents the methodology designers follow to develop
products.
This process allows the designer to go from identifying a design opportunity to testing and
evaluating their solution of the problem.
Four main parts
o Inquiring and Analyzing
Students are presented with a design situation and identify the problem that
needs to be solved.
o Developing Ideas
Students write a detailed specification.
o Creating The Solution
Students plan the creation of the chosen solution and follow the plan to create
a prototype.
o Evaluating
Students design tests to evaluate their solution.
