Importance/timeliness of topic: (7)

While I do believe the timeliness of this article and its content is nearly perfect, I feel like the

references used in the articles should have been a little more up to date. The vast majority of the

references were over 20 years old. Even though the older references did help with the

construction of the article, there should have only been a few older ones, the vast majority of the

articles should have been less than seven years old.

General quality of writing: (8)

The only problem I had with the quality of writing was some of the rigorous jargon used

throughout the article. However, most of the language used was suitable to the intended

audience and the article had exceptional flow from start to finish.

General quality of content: (10)

I could tell this article was written by a highly qualified and well educated individual. The

content of the article was very thorough. Research questions, description of methods employed,

analysis used, and recommendations were present and very well organized.

Literature review: (7)

The articles related to the subject matter fairly well but the vast majority of the reference articles

used were extremely out of date in my opinion.

Research methods/results: (8)

I was able to follow the description of the methods and could probably create my own study

using the same methods on the same topic. However, in order for me to conduct a proper
analysis and present it in a professional manner, I feel like I would need to be educated on

MANOVA. The results were presented very professionally but they were a little too complex for

me.

Conclusion/discussion: (10)

The conclusion demonstrated a connection with the results and literature exceptionally well. I

feel like, for the most part, the results supported the literature. It was evident that the study

added to previously known information and I believe this study should be shared with educators

of all levels.
