Tutorial: How to Create a Prezi Presentation

I chose to go over the tech-tool of Prezi. Prezi is much more animated than a regular

PowerPoint as well as you can access your presentation from any computer so there is no need to

use up space on your personal hard drive. In my tutorial, I walk you through the steps of creating

an account with Prezi.

I. Using your preferred browser, go to prezi.com

II. If you have already created your own account, click on log in.

III. If you havent already created your account, click on either Get Started Button

IV. For free purposes click on the Continue Free for a public account

V. Enter your information (email, password, name, etc). If you want to skip that and

have it done for you can import your information from the LinkedIn account we

created at the beginning of class or your Facebook.

VI. Once you are logged in, you will see the icon New Prezi to create your own

presentation.

VII. Click on New Prezi

VIII. Templates will pop up to choose from, either use a preloaded prezi or use a blank

one and create your own.

IX. Once you chose your template, you can start by added in text and pictures from

the web and or your own computer. (shows how to do in video)

X. Prezi saves your work automatically just like Office every few minutes, so in case

of something happening you can start back off where you left off at.

XI. Click on Save and Exit and then it will take your final presentation to grab option

of sending link and or embedding it your website.

I chose this tool, because I kind of prefer this tool rather than using PowerPoint. It is an

interactive version of PowerPoint, it brings a lot of my presentations for class and most definitely

for work to life. I chose to teach it this way because it is a simple tool to use, I didnt need to

exaggerate a lot of its simplicity. This tool can be especially useful for those students who are

learning English, this tool can be used with animated flash cards by using one slide as their first

language and the next animation is to the word in English.
