What is type test, routine test & acceptance test?

Type Tests - Tests carried out to prove conformity with the requirements of standard. These are intended
to prove the general qualities & design of a given type of appliance.

Acceptance Tests - Tests carried out on samples taken from a lot for the purpose of acceptance of the lot.

Routine Test - Tests carried out on each item to check the essential requirements which are likely to vary
during production.
