    Kehlani ashley parrish was born on APril 24, 1995, in Oakland California. Kehlani

    gained fame as a member of the teen pop group Poplyfe, which were finalist on

    America's Got Talent. She released her first mixtape in 2014 called Cloud 9. The album

    was listed on the "50 Best Albums of 2014.

    Her second mixtape debuted at number 5 on the national Hip-Hop/R&B chart in 2015

    and preceded her North American promotional tour that sold out. She was nominated

    Best Urban Contemporary Album Grammy Award for her second album You Should Be

    Here. Kehlanis debut studio album, SweetSexySavage, was released on January 27,

    2017.
