NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 7th March, 2016
S.O. 680(E).In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Destructive
Insects and Pests Act, 1914 (2 of 1914), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order further
to amend the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003, namely:-
1. Short title and Commencement.-(1) This Order may be called the Plant Quarantine
(Regulation of Import into India) (Second Amendment) Order,
2016.
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the
Official Gazette.
2. Amendment of Schedule VI.- In the Schedule VI to the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into
India) Order, 2003,-
(i) Against Serial number 262, in Column (2) against the entry (i) relating to Pome fruits in Column
(3) against entry (iii) regarding fresh fruits for consumption in Column (4) against the item (xviii) relating to
Brazil the existing entries in Columns (5) and (6) shall respectively be substituted by the following, namely:-

per international standards or
a. Anastrepha fraterculus (South American fruit fly)
(b) Pre-shipment cold treatment at zero degree

Celsius or below for 13 days (or) 0.55
c. Grapholita molesta (Oriental fruit moth)
degree Celsius or below for 14 days (or)
d. Pantomorus cervinus (Fullers rose beetle)
1.1 degree Celsius or below for 18 days
e. Peridroma saucia (Pearly underwing moth)
plus in-transit refrigeration against fruit fly
f. Phytophthora cryptogea (Tomato foot rot)
and
g. Pseudococcus calceolariae (Scarlet mealybug)
(c) MBr fumigation @ 32g/m3 for 2 hrs at 21
h. Pseudococcus Comstocki (Comstock mealybug)

i. Pseudomonas viridiflava (Bacterial leaf blight of
equivalent thereof.
