Appreciating Diversity Reflection

1. Think about a team or group that you are a member of and identify the
strongest Winning Color of each person in the team. (If you wish, consider
the Personal Ads developed by the members of your team earlier in this
Learning Plan.)
2. Write a reflection about the similarities and differences between the
members of your team and the value of diversity to solving problems and
accomplishing team goals.
3. Check your work using the criteria detailed in the Appreciating Diversity
Reflection Scoring Guide.

The Group I chose is: In the command section of our JROTC program, my strongest Winning
Color is Brown (builder). Francisco Tapias strongest Winning Color would be Red (adventurer)
and Efren Mendozas strongest Winning Color would be Brown (builder).

My Reflection: Francisco brings spontaneity and new ideas to the group. Efren and I balance out
his new propositions with stability and tradition. When Efren and I are stuck with a problem,
Francisco brings a new perspective that aids our problem-solving skills. Efrens second strongest
winning color would be blue because he is able to relate to others easily and he loves to be
around people. My second strongest winning color is green because I like to plan everything out.
Together we are a well balanced team. Im able to plan and keep things organized while I lead,
and Efren is able to sympathize with others while Francisco is able to give us new ideas and fun
propositions.
