HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND FIX/USE MODS - TOTAL WAR: ROME 2.

1. Go to Rome 2 Steam Community Workshop page:

2. Select a mod (lets say Radious Total War Mod). Copy its link.
3. Open Steam Workshop Downloader:

http://steamworkshopdownloader.com/

4. Paste mods link into the Steam Workshop. The mods name, picture and a Download
button will appear. Click it, and save the .pack file to your PC (if the Download button
doesnt work, try a different web browser - > IE always seems to work).
5. You should now have mods_radious_total_war_mod.pack file on your PC.

6. Now we need a hex editor. I will use XVI32. You can download it from here:

Note: you can use any hex editor you want.

XVI32 needs no install, so when you are finished downloading, extract it and open XVI32.exe.
7. When the program opens, select File->Open or press the button on the picture.

8. Navigate to where your .pack file is located and open it.

9. The .pack files opens and should look like this:

10. With your mouse left click on the empty square before letter P in the third window.
11. Now select Edit->Delete To Cursor.

12. Everything left from PFH4 will get deleted. The new file will look like this:
13. We are almost done. All we have to do is save the new .pack file (IMPORTANT: the third
window must always start withPFH4 as seen below, before saving). Select File->Save (or
Save As if you want to keep the unmodified .pack file ) .

14. The .pack file is now fixed. Copy it into your \Total War Rome II\data folder and run
ModManager. Select the mods you want from Mod Packs window and press Launch to
start the game.

Note: Make sure you select your Rome 2 install directory on ModManager (Tool->Set Game
Directory)
