Pre and Post Test Assessments

1. The HIPPY child will be given the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test
(PPVT) twice during a HIPPY curriculum year as pre and post testing.
2. This test will be completed in the office by staff (not necessarily by the
assigned parent educator) before the HIPPY year begins and after week
25 of the HIPPY curriculum.
3. ALL information needs to be filled out on each test
4. The assessment needs to happen in a quiet and distraction free area
without the parent. The parent will be working on filling out any
paperwork needed and Parent Surveys with another employee.
5. For the most accurate data it is important that the assessments are as
standardized as possible.
6. Follow directions given on both the Peabody (PPVT). Do not waiver from
instructions.
7. You will need to use the testing kits for standardization of materials
used in assessing.
8. After the assessment you may review the scores with the parent and
give the child a reward.
9. Be sure to complete ALL the information areas of the test
10. Turn completed tests into HIPPY Coordinator
a. Additional data will be generated in the PPVT software
b. Tests will be returned to parent educator (with printout of
Peabody scores)
11. Testing data will be entered into ETO under the children program
12. File tests in the HIPPY child file in the vault
