History:

- Originated from Ancient Egypt; 5x5 grid with diagonal lines

Number of Players: 2

Venue: Indoors/Outdoors

Materials:

1. Bottlecaps
2. Chalk
3. Smooth surface (preferably)
4. Chess board and pieces (OPTIONAL)

Mechanics:

1. Each player will place 20 pieces (Pitsas) in the same color coded tile, if using the chess board,
else on their own circles. The pieces will be arranged accordingly.

2. They will determine who will move first by rock-paper-scissors. The winner will move one piece
from his side of the playing field or the board.
3. The objective of the game is to capture all of your opponents pieces, or force your opponent to a
in a position where s/he cannot move.
4. The pieces can only move diagonally along the intersection of lines or squares in chess boards.
5. Pieces that have reached the "dama stage" or the row nearest to the opponent, can move from
row to row diagonally. They will be denoted by adding another pitsa on top of the piece that have
reached the dama stage.
6. Pitsas can only move diagonally along the intersection of lines or squares in chessboards.
7. Pieces that have reached the "dama stage" can move from row to row diagonally.
8. Except for dama pitsas, pitsas can only eat in this manner:
