WHAT IS A DAMATH BOARD GAME

Damath is a two-player educational board game combining the board game "Dama" (Filipino word for
Checkers) and Mathematics. It is used as a teaching tool for both elementary and high school mathematics.
Every piece has a corresponding number and each even (white) square on board has a mathematical
symbol. The game was invented by Jesus L. Huenda. The game is commonly played in all elementary and
secondary schools in the Philippines

RULES OF DAMATH GAME BOARD
1. Toss a coin
2. Move a chip diagonally forward only
3. Players alternately take turns in moving a chip
4. Touch Move
5. Record each move you do
6. Only 60 seconds per move
7. In taking an opponent's chip, the 'taker' chip jumps over the 'taken' chip and uses any of the four operation
symbols of +, -, x, and ÷ where the taker chip lands
8. A chip is declared 'dama' if it stops in any of the following squares of the opposing player: (1,0) (3,0) (5,0) (7,0)
Similarly, the opposing player's chip is declared 'dama' if it stops in any of the following squares: (0,7) (2,7) (4,7)
(6,7)

chips in colors. Then I paste them on cardboard.

9. A 'dama' chip can slide diagonally forward or backward in any unoccupied square as long as no opponent's chip blocks
its path. It could take a chip or chips whereby its corresponding sum, difference, product or quotient is doubled. Similarly,
if an ordinary chip takes an opponent’s 'dama' chip , its score is doubled.
10. Dama chip takes on an opponent’s dama chip the score is quadrupled
11. A 'taker' chip can take one chip or more than one chips with the required option to take the greater number of chips.
12. Three penalties and you will get a automatic lost
How to get penalty:
1. Disobeying the rules
2. Cheating
3. Consume more than one minute during your turn
HOW TO PLAY DAMATH GAME BOARD
1. Prepare all the ting you need (score board, damath board, chips, timer 20 min)
2. Toss a coin to see who goes first.
3. Win goes first
4. Lose goes second and so on
5. In taking an opponent's chip, the 'taker' chip jumps over the 'taken' chip and uses any of the four
operation symbols of +, -, x, and ÷ where the taker chip lands
6. Record score on the score sheet
7. Whoever got the most points wins

This is how you kill. Chip no 9 killed


Chip no 9 is moving to safe place chip no -1 and landed on the – space
with no red chip. There is no kill. so 9 - -1= -10
