Greetings! I am delighted to share the upcoming school year with you in Sixth Grade Mathematics. I know
you have learned a tremendous amount of math skills from Ms. Krause to better prepare you for our exploration in
6th Grade Math. We will be exploring fractions, ratios, rates, decimals, number lines, absolute value, graphing,
expressions, equations, inequalities, polygons, area, volume, and data analysisjust to name a few!
If you are wondering about summer math packets or how to prepare for middle school mathematics, my
advice is simplecontinue mastering your basic math facts! There will be moments in which you will be expected
to compute and solve math problems without a calculator. So, it is important that you practice the basic math skills
of adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing single and multi-digit numbers. To assist you this summer, I have
