NAME OF THE COMPANY

Name of our company is Organic Ice Cream which is known as OIC. The reason for
choosing this name as it is our descriptive company name. We want OIC easy to say, easy
to understand and memorable by all age of customers. We want the name to be unique
and catchy. So, OIC will be the ideal name, as it is convenient to all people. Our company
consists of four partners, who namely Lau Man Yee, Segar A/L Ganasan, Ng Yi Chun,
Ling Tien Khang. Four of us are students graduated from UUM (Universiti
Utara Malaysia). We are doing the product-oriented business that is Organic Ice Cream
(OIC) a scoop of healthy is the cafe of ice cream that having healthy organic ice cream.
We choose to do this business because we know that human always want to be happy and
healthier. But nowadays, in this globalization era, most are not have enough time to take
care of their health. Working time, overloaded job, traffic jams and others become very
crucial and critical, as they ignore their healthy life style. In order to bring back the health
life style for the people, we introduce our product call Organic Ice Cream which is full of
nutrition. When they feel sad or emotional, they will find some sweet flavour food to eat
and ice cream is the first choice to make them happier. There are ice cream bible, Give
them an ice cream shop and youll make them happy for life! It is a very profitable
business in the market where there is a demand in this business. Malaysia is ranked sixth
in the Asia-Pacific region for obesity and is the top in South-East Asia for both obesity
and diabetes. According to Prof Dr Mohd Ismail Noor, president of Malaysia Society for
the Study of Obesity, the obesity rate are become pressing because the number of obesity
children are increasing now. So, our group recommended the organic ice cream to solve
this problem which our entire customer can eat the ice cream healthy. Besides, Malaysia's
climate is categorized as equatorial, being hot and humid throughout the year. This makes
the opportunities in doing the business as cafe ice cream. Although Malaysia have a lot of
competitor but the ice cream make from organic is still new in the market. OIC also
different from other competitor because the ice cream is does not consist any colouring
and preservative. This new creative business can attract customer especially kids,
teenager and older people.
Nature of Business
Organic Ice Cream is product oriented company. The ingredients that are used to make an
organic ice cream are organic cream or colostrum, organic milk, organic agave, organic
vanilla, organic egg yolks and so on. Then, the top of the ice cream are full with fruit
such as apple, cheery, star fruit and orange. This is because OIC use fresh juice to make
ice cream without colouring. The fruits are import from the Australia and the organic
milk are import from New Zealand. This is because we just use the hygienic, quality and
healthier resources to make our ice cream. In the near future, Organic Ice Cream will be
an alternative or be a replacement for the pills, tonic and so on which is bring vitamins to
the body.

1. LAU MAN YEE

Lau Man Yee holds the position as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). She finished her
degree on the Culinary Arts. She is responsible to maintain contact with organization,
affiliated departments and making effective decision on all aspect of work. Besides, he
needs to monitor the performance and achievement of the employees. Furthermore, she is
required to be discussing about the issue during the board of meeting. By making fair and
impartial during organization decision making process and keep the whole organization
updated with information.
2. SEGAR A/L GANASAN

Segar A/L Ganasan holds the position as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). He finished
his degree on business administration. The CMO is the one who calls meeting of the
organization. He is responsible to maintain contact with supplier, handling customer and
taking a brief notes from the customer on the desired outcome in order to understand the
current and potential customer and manage the clients process which we called as
customer relationship management. Besides that, he will have to develop a
communication and marketing strategy and plan to attract customer. He also needs to
supports the creative team throughout the creative process and evaluates the creative
concept using market research and manage customer feedback to meets the customer
expectation and organizations objective.

3. NG YI CHUN

Ng Yi Chun holds the position as the Chief Finance Officer (CFO). She finished her
degree on Accounting in University Utara Malaysia. She is responsible to maintain
account of company, affiliated departments and making effective decision on account.
Besides, she needs to monitor the cash flow and revenue of company. She will in charge
of the payment of employee, rent of shop and the instalment with bank. Besides, the
investment of revenue will be handling by her. Furthermore, she is required to be
discussing about the issue during the board of meeting. By making fair and impartial
during organization decision making process and keep the whole organization updated
with information about the account and finance.

4. LING TIEN KHANG

Ling Tien Khang holds the position as the Chief Operation Officer (COO). He finished
his degree on production operation management in University Utara Malaysia. The COO,
are responsible for day-by-day operation in the company in order that the daily operation
able to run smoothly. Besides he is also responsible for set rules, regulation and policies
for employees to follow in order to ensure the departments able to run accordingly and
monitor the workers during the operation time. Overall, he is responsible for being a
spokesperson for the company and developed plans to make business more successful.
Plus, has responsibility for recruiting, hiring, training and compensate employees and
also determine the performance of every employee in the organization. He needs to
approach to employee complaints and problem solving to ensure all the employees are
satisfied. He advocates the employee by creating a comfortable working environment to
them.

1)We choose Penang as the location of business because the population is around 1611.6
thousand people in the state which is the third-highest Human Development Index in
Malaysia, after the state of Selangor and the federal territory of Kuala Lumpur. Higher
in population of people will increase the demand of product and increase the sales.

2) Most of the Penang and other state of citizen and tourist will shop at Gurney Plaza
because is near to Penang Bridge which that only ways from Penang Island to
Butterworth.

3) Gurney plaza also well-known shopping mall and it will allow Organic Ice Cream to
reach the people very easily.
