To Whom It May Concern:

I had the privilege of working with Joanne Duford during the 2015-2016 school year
when she completed her Siena Heights University co-op placement in our Inclusion
Kindergarten Readiness Program located at the Lenawee Intermediate Schools TECH
Center in Adrian, Michigan. This experience provided Joanne with an opportunity to work
with children with and without various special needs. Joannes responsibilities included;
interacting and supervising children throughout the routine, planning, preparing, and
implementing lesson plans and assisting with informal student assessments.
Joanne was able to lead children through a variety of activities and was able to
accommodate in order to meet the childrens needs and interests. She interacted and
remained actively engaged with the children. The children enjoyed working with Joanne
and responded well to her.
Joanne was very dependable and demonstrated responsibility in her actions with the
children. She made insightful observations and worked very closely with the children in
our classroom and with their families. In addition, Joanne was very timely in her
communications with myself, families, and other team members.
Joanne is an individual who is willing to listen and work well with others. She
thoroughly enjoys working with young children and does so effectively. Joanne Duford
has many wonderful qualities and skills and has a very promising future as a teacher. If
I can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact me at 517-263-2108.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth A. Phelan
