ANNA MARIE BROWN & WENDELL HEY SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarship Guidelines
The Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a $500 scholarship to both a Tecumseh
High School senior girl and boy. Selected students will receive a plaque in recognition of their
achievement at the Academic Awards Assembly. At the end of the successful completion (at
least 2.0 GPA) of their first semester of college, a $500 cash award will be given. Selection is
based on achievement, citizenship, and school support.

General guidelines are:

• Student exhibits academic achievement.
• Student exhibits exemplary behavior in and around school.
• Student is active in a campus organization such as Spanish Club, Beta Club, Mu Alpha
Theta, Spirit Club, class offices, etc., or an extra-curricular activity such as athletics, band,
vocal music, FFA, FCCLA, etc.
• Student is active in community activities such as church, 4-H, volunteer service, etc.

Scholarships must:
• Attach an official transcript or embossed copy from the high school.
• Complete the attached application in ink or typewritten - NO ATTACHMENTS
• Include endorsement signatures from the high school and community service organization.
• Attach an essay on one sheet of paper (may be front and back) explaining student's future
career goals, personal expectations and how college work will enhance those goals.

Applications will be available in the chamber office by the first day of March or at the
Tecumseh High School.

Completed applications must be in the Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce office by

3 PM, April 15th.

CAMPUS ORGANIZATIONS (Spanish Club, ECO, STUCO, etc.) AND EXTRA-CURRICULAR

ACTIVITIES (Athletics, Band, Vocal Music, FFA, FCCLA, etc.) IN WHICH THE STUDENT
PARTICIPATED. INCLUDE HONORS AND OFFICES HELD.

The above named student has exhibited quality academic achievement and has demonstrated traits of good
citizenship, dependability and leadership in all endeavors. The student is actively involved in campus
organizations, extra-curricular and community activities enhancing overall life skills and experiences.
