TRI KAPPA TRADITIONAL

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION 2019

Carmel’s Epsilon Mu Chapter of Tri Kappa, an Indiana service organization, will award four
$3000 scholarships. The scholarships will be awarded according to the following criteria:

* Financial Need
* Academic performance
* Extra Curricular Activities
* Community service

The applicant must be a female, be a resident of Indiana, be a US citizen, and reside within the
Carmel Clay/Westfield Washington School District.

Traditional Scholarship Application:


High School graduating senior attending college. This applicant may attend any high school:
Bishop Chatard, Brebeuf, Cathedral HS, Carmel HS, Guerin Catholic, Heritage Christian,
Options High School, University High School, or Westfield HS. She may also be a Homeschool
student. (Students who are the child of a Tri Kappa member are not eligible to apply.)

The Scholarship will be a one-year, non-renewable award, paid directly to the college/university
of the Recipient’s choice. The recipient must be enrolled in their selected college/university
beginning with the Fall 2019 Semester. One Half of the scholarship will be applied to the First
semester with the remaining half applied to the Second semester. Scholarship monies will be
mailed directly to the Recipient’s selected college/university.

The Recipient must remain ‘in good academic standing’ as determined by the college/university
during the school year. In the event the Recipient does not meet the criteria set by the
college/university, or if for any reason does not remain in school, the scholarship will be
forfeited.

Upon notification of being awarded the Tri Kappa Scholarship, the Recipient will sign a
scholarship agreement that stipulates the award amount, the college/university to be attended,
and the distribution of funds.

The spirit of Tri Kappa is to bring women together to promote charity, culture and
education. In what ways do you feel your academic, extracurricular, and community

The Tri Kappa Scholarship was created to assist those who embody the spirit of Tri
Kappa and who also demonstrate financial need. Please indicate why you would
benefit from receiving this scholarship.
