Check points Visual Inspection

1. Ensure the Permission / Approval for shut down 10. check for name plate

2. Preliminary visual inspection 11. check for tag no on the valve

3. Prepare the complete header that needs to be tested 12. check for any leaks from the flange

4. Check the tightness of the bolts (body and flange) 13. check for any leaks at the valve handle

5. Open the bleeding valve and look for leaks 14. Check for body leaks

Leak test

6. Isolation of the valve (testing valve) 15. check external coating

7. fill diesel in the upstream of the valve for ball vale or


16. check for any cracks on the valve
downstream for check valve
8. open the drain valve - downstream for ball vale or
17. check for any cracks- nuts and bolts
downstream for check valve
9. check for leaks in downstream for ball vale or downstream 18. check the valve actuation performance
for check valve
