This document lists generic wastes that can be eliminated in manufacturing organizations, including overproduction, excess inventory, defective products, unnecessary activities and motions, losses during processes like idling time and stoppages, and avoidable use of resources like electricity, water, and transportation. Eliminating these wastes can improve efficiency.

We agree that we need to eliminate most of the non-value added
activities and also other generic waste inherently seen in any of the manufacturing organization.
OTHER GENERIC WASTES TO ELIMINATE
Over production. Excess inventories. Generation of defective product. Avoidable non-value added activities. Unnecessary motions and movements. Losses during process like i.e., speed losses, idling time, line stoppages, tool breakage, avoidable consumption of electricity & water, leakage of compressed air, oils, coolants etc. Unnecessary transportation etc.
