Teaching Manners
Are you struggling with your child about saying please and
thank you? First, I will start off by saying you are not the only
one. Manners can take time to get use to and figure out for chil-
dren. What really helps is persistence and modeling. For example
your child is hungry and you are giving them a snack and you say,
Bob, do you want cheese. Your child replies with No. After
that you can simply reply, Say no, thank you. Keep reminding
them their manners and be a reminder for them. You also want to
model your manners to them. Use the manners you expect of Student of the Week
them. If you want them to say please when they ask for some-
thing, remember to use please when you are speaking to others The student of the week
