CITY OF ORILLIA

MUNICIPAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER II

The Corporation of the City of Orillia has an opening for a full-time Municipal Law
Enforcement Officer II in the Clerks Department.

DUTIES
Ensure consistent enforcement of City by-laws.
Parking meter repair and coin collection.
Court preparation and attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS
Two year college diploma in Law Enforcement/Investigative Studies or related
discipline.
Thorough working knowledge of municipal by-laws, provincial legislation, licensing,
and enforcement procedures.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and public relation skills.
Previous enforcement experience would be an asset.
Certification from the Municipal Law Enforcement Officers Association would be an
asset.
Certification from the Ontario Property Standards Association would be an asset.

The successful candidate must be able to work weekends, nights and/or flexible hours, as
needed. A valid class G Ontario drivers licence is required for this position. A criminal
record check with vulnerable sector screening/pardoned sex offender database search is
required upon offer of employment.

This position is included in Class 7 of the IBEW Clerical and Technical wage schedule
at $20.33 - $24.26 per hour, 40 hours per week. Interested applicants are invited to
