Description of the artifact and how it meets the standard and criteria:

The artifact that I chose to include to demonstrate my competency in standard 8A is the

email confirmation about my second year mentoring class. The email shows the
confirmation of me in the class and also the class agenda. This meets the standard
because it is required contractual as a first, and second year teacher, to attend the
mentoring class.

Reflection on the artifact:

The mentoring class has been something that I have taken a lot away from. During my
first year teaching it was really nice to converse with other first year teachers about our
different struggles and successes. Being a part of the class for year two has also been
a great benefit because it has been an avenue that I have used to improve my teaching
methods.
