Artifact Title: Hail to You, Chief Lesson Plan

Description of the artifact and how it meets the standard and criteria:

The artifact that I chose to include to demonstrate my competency in Standard 2A is a

lesson plan that I used during the executive branch unit. This artifact meets the
standard by using multiple perspectives when teaching the content to the students. The
students will get the perspective of somebody watching the president, and they will also
get the perspective of being the president, while learning about the different presidential
powers.

Reflection on the artifact:

I really enjoyed creating this lesson plan, and I also enjoyed teaching it. I love watching,
and communicating with, the students as they do the second part of the lesson where
they role play being the president. I find it interesting, and find it productive for the
students, to have them explain what their decisions would be as president and why they
made those decisions.
