Anonymous Indeed, I dont seek power, but the opportunity to empower people. In Education today, exceptional is the new standard for success. The performance of our students is an indication that the traditional way of teaching is no longer an option. The clarion call for exceptional talent demands a response; so I answered the call. I answered not only because I want to be successful, but because I want to be significant, adding value to others. My professional goal is to be a catalyst for learning; designing, implementing and managing projects and programs that will promote proficiency in mathematics and help people discover themselves and live productive lives. The schools need teachers who are not afraid to jump and grow wings in flight. The late Myles Munroe, a Bahamian Icon said, the world needs history more than money and leaders who care more about people than private ambition.
My mission to make a difference in education and prepare my students
to be economically independent and globally competitive ignited my passion, and hence my decision to pursue a Masters Degree and a Mathematics Specialist Graduate Certificate at the University of Wisconsin -Stout.
My teaching experience expands over 25 years; I joined the Bahamas
Technical & Vocational Institute in New Providence, Bahamas in January 2012 to the present. No, I am not I just started young!!! My extensive experience in education has allowed me in many instances, to engage and transform my classroom and my campus. I ignite the light that is inside of them, inspiring individuals to find their passion, light up their environment, impact their organization, and WOW the world. I push students not just to dream big, but to dream bigger! When this happens, an infectious positive classroom environment is created; the campus takes on life and becomes an organism that is powered by passionate, exceptionally talented professionals and committed students eager to build a better world!
