This examination booklet contains 9 problems on 9 sheets of paper including the front cover. Do
all of your work in this booklet and show all your computations. This is a closed book exam. You
have 3 hours to complete your work. Please show all your work, explain your answers and
write neatly.
This exam is administered under the Princeton University Honor Code. Books, notes, calcula-
tors, computers, headphones, cellphones, music players, etc. are not permitted. The
proctor will tell you when to begin and when the proctor tells you that time is up,
stop working, close your test booklet and you may complete the honor pledge on this
front cover sheet of your exam.
Students should sit one seat apart from each other if possible and refrain from talking to other
students during the exam. Students may leave the exam room only for a very brief period without
the explicit permission of the instructor. The exam may not be taken outside of the exam room.
All suspected violations of the Honor Code must be reported to the Honor Committee Chair at
honor@princeton.edu.

WRITE OUT AND SIGN PLEDGE:

I pledge my honor that I have not violated the Honor Code during this examination.
