Materials: career assessments, pencils, poster boards, markers, my first resume
worksheets
Procedure: review expectations (be respectful, raise your hand, and use kind
words even when you disagree with others). Introduce the word career. Ask
students about the word and other similar words that has the same meaning. Ask
students if they have a job right now. Gather responses. Tell students that they
will have a guide who will help us to find more about careers. Access Paws in
Jobland using projector and smartboard. Explore two jobs in each section.

Emphasize to students that our goal is to learn about careers that we did not
know about and how we can take on a career that may matches the skills that we
have.
Finish with a few cards that has important skills that we ought to have with every
career. These are the keys to becoming a respected professional no matter what
you do.

Process Data: about 100 students will participate in exploring various careers and
get to know character traits of a successful professional.
