1- Domestic water tank

- Tank thermal insulation informations are missing as insulation material,
thickness, density, type, conductivity, and thermal resistance R value are not
mentioned.
- Tank material thermal conductivity and wall thickness are not mentioned.

2- Domestic water tank cooling / heat gain load calculations performed by Hatco.
- Cooling / heat gain calculation has been considered only the load coming from
the income hot water.
- Cooling / heat gain calculation did not consider the heat transfer which is coming
from outside ambient condition through the tank walls (tank cylinder body). This heat
transferred will be only reduced by tank thermal insulation however it will be still
valid.
- Cooling / heat gain calculation did not consider the heat transfer which is coming
for the sun solar energy. This will be caused more heating load through the tank
body and that will heat the water. Tank insulation will be reduced this load
but heating load will be also still valid.

3- Hatco proposed Cooling unit

- Selected cooling unit are not sufficient. Prosed 4 Tons cooling unit is achieved
the cooling water tank based on 15 hours initial cooling. however, the recommended
cooling hours shall not be more than 6 hours
- Based on the above mentioned missing cooling load calculation (heating loss)
the unit size will not be able to give the desired cold water temperature.
- Our primary calculations which has been performed by guessing as we do not
have the tank informations refer to item -1 the cooling unit shall be revised from 4
Tons to 12 Tons. This value can be reduced to 10 Tons if tank information is
submitted.

Conclusion,
Based on the above analysis out conclusion as the following
- Provide and installed the water tank inside totally sealed room (wall and roof).
And does not exposed to outside ambient condition. This scenario will maintain the
cooling unit 4-5 Tons
- Revised the 4 Tons unit to 10-12 Tons and keep the tank location as shown on
current drawing.
