To Whom It May Concern:

Beginning March 8, 2017 Northern Vance High School will

implement a revised tardy policy. This policy has been approved by the School Improvement Team in
collaboration with the administration. This policy will continue through the remainder of 2016-17
school year. The tardy policy will proceed as follows:

Students who are not in the classroom by the tardy bell will be considered tardy. Consequences for
tardies are per class as follows:

1st: Offense: Teacher verbal warning

2nd: Offense: Teacher contacts parent

3rd: Offense: After school detention (3:15-3:40PM with a 24hr notice)*

4th:Offense: 1 Full day of ISS /parent contact

5th: Offense: Office referral to an administrator

*Students who receive an after school detention will be responsible for their own transportation.
Any student who arrives after 3:15PM will not be admitted to after school detention and will
proceed to a 3rd Consequence.

Administration will conduct a Tardy Blitz 3.8.17-3.16.17 to encourage students to get to class on
time. Students who are late will report to crossroads for a tardy pass. Consequences will proceed as
follows:

1st: Offense: verbal warning

2nd: Offense: After school detention (3:15-3:40PM with a 24hr notice)

3rd: Offense: 1 Day of ISS

4th:Offense: 2 Full day of ISS
