what the story might be about on a piece of paper. Once they come up with this, they will each
get the turn to share their ideas. Below is the list of words they will receive
Flopped

During: Developing Predictions

Based off the predictions they made at the beginning of the story with the story word activity, the
students will discuss the progression of their prediction of what the story was about during a read
aloud of Froggy Goes to School. We will do this by periodically stopping at key points in the
story to think, pair, share with partners about what has changed about theri prediction, if
anything? What new predictions have you made? Each time we do this, I will allow one partner
group to share what they discussed.

After: Plot Organizer

To discuss the book overall, we will complete a plot organizer. On pieces of paper I will have
typed key aspects of the story. The students will then each work together to plot these pieces on
the line in the order that they occurred.
