Dear Parents,

Hello! I hope you had a nice weekend. Please

continue to be aware of the weather when dressing your
child for outdoor recess. Since we do not have school on
Friday, May 5 (teacher in-service), the children will not
be checking out an Accelerated Reading book from the
library on Tuesday. Our spelling, reading, and writing
test will be on Thursday, May 4. Thank you!

This week we will be reading Dot and Jabber and the

Great Acorn Mystery. Our question for the week is: How
do we solve mysteries? The skills we will be working on
are the vowel sound oo, as in foot, dropping the final e
and adding endings, pronouns I and me, and comparing
and contrasting. In math, we will continue working on
Topic 15-Geometry.

I hope you are having fun completing the See How I

Grew poster with your child. The posters are to be
brought back to school by this Thursday, May 4. These
will be displayed in the hallway. I plan on laminating the
posters, so if you do not want pictures laminated, please
let me know! Just send me a note or an e-mail.
