ABSTRACT: The said research atricle deals with the contribution of two eminent
personalities of the world,which have dedicated their whole life for the promation of urdu
language and litrerarure.Among them Sir Syed Ahmed Khan belongs to the nineteenth
centrury and Allama Iqbal belongs to the twentieth century.They have many things
common like Muslim family,migration of ancestors from other coun tries to
india,contribution towards religion,landuage,humanity,modern education,visit to
London,honour(sir) from British Govt. and much more.But instead of that they have
many contradictions among their life and contribution also like back ground of
family,beliefs on miracles in Islam,following the style of westenization and many other
things.In this research article the main purpose is to campare and contrast their life and
contribution in such a manner that their main aims and ambitions will prove a guide to
their lovers and followers.
