Come to class early to set up PowerPoint and ensure the YouTube video opens up without
problems

Whiteboard Markers
YouTube video

Teaching/Learning Activities

8 minutes
1. Have students write three main ideas from the YouTube video.
2. Watch the video again.

3 minutes
1. Students share with a partner or small group what they thought the
three main ideas from the video were.
a. Walk around and answer any questions and see what ideas are
frequently appearing from the pairs/groups

5 minutes
1. Have students share one main idea per pair. (Try to coax them to
share different ones that have been previously said if they have
them.)
2. Compare what they said after the video vs. what they said about
food safety before the video.
