HPT NOZZLE REPAIRS

cfm56-3, -5, -7 Models

Snecma has established its leadership in repairing the

most critical parts of the CFM56 engine.
Today we repair over 10,000 HPT nozzles a year.
Through our joint venture Ceramic Coating Center, we
have developed the ability to restore the ceramic
coating on HPT nozzles (thermal barrier coating, or TBC),
using Electron Beam Physical Vapor Deposition (EBPVD).

Our repair processes feature the latest technologies,
such as the split vane and re-airfoil methods, now being
implemented.

while reducing cost.

The re-airfoil process is designed to significantly reduce
HPT nozzle maintenance cost versus the traditional
PACH repair.

CFM56-3, -5, -7 Models

REPAIR CAPABILITIES
Snecma covers all steps in the full repair of HPT nozzles for all
CFM56 engine models, including the TBC ceramic coating.
For the CFM56-3 version, Snecma applies a Pt-AL coating, which
is better than the traditional VPA, and also offers the re-airfoil
process.
The re-aifoil process is available for the CFM56-5A and the split
vane process for -5B, -5C, -7B engines.
