1.Volumes of two cubes are in the ratio 8: 125. What is the ratio of
their surface areas.
2. A square is inscribed in a circle . what is the ratio of the area of
the circle and the square.
3. find the area of the largest triangle that can be inscribed in
semicircle of radius 14 cm .
4. A solid cube is cut into eight cubes of equal volumes. Find the
ratio of the total surface area of the given cube and that one of
the smaller cube.
5. A cone and a sphere have equal ratio and equal volumes. What
is the ratio of the diameter of the spare to the height of the cone.
6. The diameter of the sold metallic sphere is 16 cm. the sphere is
melted and recast into 8 equal solid spherical balls. Determine the
radius of the balls.
7. 50 circular discs , each of radius 7 cm and thickness 0.5 cm are
placed one above the other. Find the total surface area of the
solid so formed. Find how much space will be left in a cubical bon
of side 25 cm . if the solid formed is placed inside it.
8. A wooden souvenir is made by scooping out a hemisphere from
each end of a solid cylinder. If the height of the cylinder 10 cm
and its base is of radius 3.5 cm then . find the total cost of
polishing the souvenir at the rate at the rate of Rs 10 per cm 2.
