1. An empty closed cone made of glass has base radius 6 cm. If some water is poured into the cone, the
depth of water is 8 cm. When the cone with this same amount of water is inverted, the water level is
12 cm high. Find the volume of the cone.

2. A cylinderical wood that has radius 14 cm was cut by a plane through the line of symmetry. Find the
total surface area of the resulting figure.

the ratio of volume of the cylinder to that of the cone.

4. A paperweight in the shape of a cone of height h cm attached on top of a cylinder of height 4 cm. The
cone and the cylinder have the same radius R = 5 cm. The volume of the cylinder is 43 the volume of
the cone. Sand is poured into the container such that the sand height is h − 4. Find

the block is 4 × 3 × 12.5 cm and the height of the triangular prism is 4 cm.
