SCENE ONE

Cotton opens on Mr. & Mrs. Adekunle family whose children are Tope &
Segun. It took Mr & Mrs. Adekunle 15years of barrenness before they give
birth to Tope so they over pampered her.
One afternoon, Segun was in the sitting room reading and studying his
book while Tope badge in the sitting room with a loud sounds of music
which she was playing.
Blessing: Tope cant you see I am reading
Tope: and so!!!!!!!
Blessing: please put off the music or you reduce the volume at its
minimal.
Tope: for what reason? Are you the only one who knows how to
read? Or does here look like a library? So if dont mind, leave the
sitting room.
(At the course of their argument, their parent Mr. & Mrs. Adekunle
came in)
(Segun angrily left the sitting room i.e stage, While Mr. & Mrs.
Adekunle: pampered tope and promise her that no matter the
offence she committed nothing will happen to her. Tope grew up
with that mentality).
SCENE TWO
Blessing: Tope!! Tope!! Come on tope we are getting late to
school and I am ready to go, come let go
Tope: Segun cant I have some rest in this house for you, if
you set for school then go to school cause I am not ready to
go now, infect I will not come to school today
Blessing: Tope hope you realize that is just remaining two
days to our common entrance examination
Tope: and so, what is so special about the exams
Blessing: well I am off to school
Tope: go!!!!get out
SCENE THREE
(It is exam time and tope was not prepared for the exam, let
see what will happen)
Blessing: wow!!!! The questions are very favorable
Tope: James please teach me NO: 1,3,2,5,4
Tope: Paul open your book, let me see now
Examiner/ teacher: Tope!!!! Tope!!!! Ahhhhhhh, get up,
no more
Exams for you; you have being copying from other
work, get out of the hall.
 (Tope was sent out of the hall and that affected her
education)
20years later, blessing became a very successful
academician while
Tope end up an ordinary secondary school dropout due
to her early begin faulty foundation.
