Angelo Costanza announced that the
Camp Royal students will attend our The Playground Committee with Jay Ingram at the Commons

President Kevin Reneau noted that we
Employee of the Month are crossing the finish line for our
fundraising efforts for the park. We will
continue to accept donations for the next
few weeks. There was a committee
meeting at the Commons with Jay Ingram,
the Town of Moraga Parks and Recreation
Director. Project timing was discussed
along with a proposed commemoration
plaque of contributors to the playground.

Moraga Community Faire

Becky and Eric Baker at Our Meeting This Week
Our raffle winner today was Alsida
Canton. The slippery winning marble
Becky and Eric spoke of their work and escaped her and she was forced to accept
experiences in Sierra Leone, West Africa. the $10 consolation prize!
Their mission is to help provide food,
shelter, care, medical aid and emotional
support for the many children orphaned by
the Ebola epidemic.

They took us through the story of Bambay


Sawaneh in Sierra Leone. Bambay
suffered the loss of both of his hands as a
punishment for not fighting with rebel
forces when he was a young orphan. He
has worked through adversity to create the
Seattle FC (Football Club aka soccer)
that is the basis for supporting orphans
and other youth in his village. Much of the
needed help was because of the serious
Ebola crisis in Sierra Leone in 2014. The
Ebola crisis did not strike the very young
and the very old but killed healthy adults,
leaving countless young children
orphaned.
