Quarantine

1. Use Parkview Huntington Hospital, Crestview Middle

School, and YMCA. Crestview will have the lower tiers of
Ebola. YMCA would have the upper tiers of Ebola. For
Huntington Hospital the north side of the hospital will be
for the higher level and the south side for lower level, and
they will be divided by a decontamination process and the
need of access cards
2. We are using them because they are close to each other
3. The hospital has helpful tools we can use to treat the
infected people
4. There is lots of space between all of the areas therefore we
never run out of room
5. Keep people quarantined separately
6. About 4-5 people in one room at the YMCA
7. Inside the middle school we can keep 3-4 people in them
with the same symptoms
8. Depending on the size of the rooms at the hospital maybe
1-2 people with the same symptoms

Communication

1. NO panic

3
2. Send out press release informing people on what they
should do
3. Inform them on where to stay and what we are planning to
do
4. All of the people need to stay inside as much as possible,
but eventually they need to come and get their blood tested
to see if they have the virus
5. Keep them informed as much as possible to make them
realize we are not keeping things from them (this is help
them feel more secure)
6. On the press release make sure to state that everyone needs
to stay calm and try to cooperate with us

Disposal of Remains

1. We are going to cremate the bodies due to that being the

best way to deal with the bodies
2. Cremating will make the virus unable to travel to new
bodies in healthy people
3. We are going to store the cremated bodies in the science
departments in Huntington University
4. Once we find and contact the family of the person cremated
they can take the container if they want

4
Non-pharmaceutical Interventions

1. Block off any roads leading to the quarantine areas and

only let in people with authorization
2. Put city under martial law
3. Everyone has a curfew of 10pm.
4. Block off all city exits so that no one can leave or enter
5. There are no family visits allowed with people that are
thought to have Ebola
6. Close all schools
7. Airdrop food into town
8. No aircraft vehicles allowed to land without authorization
9. People who live within the quarantine area evacuated and
go to family houses outside of area if they have none then
go to empty areas in town such as the high school since the
schools are closed

Laboratory Testing

1. Use Huntington University as a place for people to come

and have their blood tested for Ebola
2. It is fairly close to the quarantine area incase anyone comes
down with the virus

5
Worker Safety

1. If dealing with patient sick of Ebola it is mandatory to be in

a hazmat suit
2. Go through airlock and decontamination processes
3. Doctors can take notes and watch patients through windows
to observe how they act
4. When giving them food and water must follow steps 1 and
2, and give through a small doorway that only fits the food
(not human sized)
5. Give out security cards to people for different places so that
no one can go where they are not allowed

Roles and Responsibilities of Public Figures

1. Mayor- talk to people in the town to help them understand

what is going on, and to help calm down the people
2. Firefighters- still answer distress calls for possible fires in
the town and help transport people to Redi-Med
3. Head Sheriff- help the military with any protocols that they
see fit to do such as patrolling the city limits to keep people
from leaving
4. Chief of Police- Help the military with protocols for people

6
needing to check their blood for the virus. They will also
help the military keep people in check.

Other Health Care Needs

1. Use Redi-Med as makeshift hospital

2. No one is allowed to go to Redi-Med if they think they are
getting sick because it could be Ebola
3. If someone thinks they might have Ebola they are required
to call hospital and request house call
4. Certain doctors go out into town on house calls to figure
out if the person could have Ebola
