events of the college as well as of the alumni association. This publication serves as a link among the FBC alumni and friends to strengthen the FBCian bond, spirit and fellowship.

Special Program for Pastors and Church Workers
To be ready in ministering to the 21st Century by gaining the
credentials and skills in education.- this is the gist of the reason why 21
pastors and Biblewomen enrolled in the education program. FBC has again
offered for this School Year 2016-2017, a special program for Pastors and
church workers who graduated from non-CHED accredited Bible schools.
This will give them the opportunity to pursue their Bachelor of Secondary or
Elementary Education degree making them eligible to take the Licensure
Exam for Teachers, which is now a prerequisite for teaching even for Kinder-
garten. Classes are arranged every Friday and Saturdays only. This 2nd
batch of cohort is expected to graduate in 5 years.
The first batch was in 2014. Last September 26, 2016 the first
batch of church workers under this program took the Board Exam for Teach-
ers and some of them are now registered professional teachers. BYV
Mission to Southern Palawan
Fellowship Baptist College in partnership with the Cam-
pus Bible Fellowship-Philippines extended benevolent services to
the people of Barangay Indalawan, Balabac Island in Southern
Palawan through literacy, medical and gift-giving programs last
April 18-25, 2016.
The Island of Balabac is located at the Southernmost
Palawan that is a home to more than 11, 000 Molbogs. The
Molbogs belong to a marginalized community. Education, medi-
cal and social services are things which most of them cannot
afford.
With much desire to grow in missions and to actualize
the schools mission statement, for the service to humanity, for
Gods greatest glory, a team which included Engr. Harris-
Vaughn Batayen (Engineering Faculty), Mrs. Rhea Batayen
(Campus Ministry Worker), Ms. Valery Ann Pacia (CTEAS Facul-
ty), Ms. Urialle Joy Garnica (BSED-Math Student), Mr. Nelson
Ensomo and Ms. Leah Abaca (Molbog scholars) with CBF-
Philippines partners and volunteers travelled more than 10 hours
to minister to these people. For five days, they offered literacy
teaching for subjects like English, Science, and Mathematics and
did medical consultations. MJTO
FBC Church Outreach Program
For the years to come, I envision FBC to be a school that is
still anchored on its sole existence: to lead students to the saving grace
of the Lord Jesus Christto help them grow in faith and to become a
sending missionary school. Having these goals, God has also prompted
me to explore and expand Gods kingdom through an active involvement
in planting churches, these were the inspiring words of Dr. David V.
Gargantiel, the College President of the school.
With this vision and conviction, the team explored the area of
Mabinay on the last week of September and was led to help a small
church without a pastor - Abunlon Fellowship Baptist Church in Ma-
binay. The said church is located in Ayungon, a short cut road to Orien-
tal and a 45- minute ride from Kabankalan. The church building is situ-
ated in a mountainous part of Mabinay and is made up of light materials.
After the initial talk with the deacon of the church, the school organized
a Sunday school and led the worship service which started on Novem-
ber 13, 2016. Simple as it was yet the members of the church were
blessed and happy to experience the joy of fellowship with and among
the students and teachers of Fellowship Baptist College.
The Christmas season became more memorable for the
church as members became recipients of the schools collected relief
goods, toys and other usable stuff as Christmas gifts.
This new ministry, which is overseen by the Chaplains Office
is truly fulfilling at the same time very challenging. This needs the sup-
port, passion and active involvement of the whole FBC community, in-
cluding the alumni. Hence, the school encourages each one to be ac-
tively involved through: prayers, financial support for the building project
and by volunteering to minister to other specific church programs. - NBE

The College hosted for the first time the Mind Rush 2017: 1st FBC
Inter-school Quiz Bowl last March 11, 2017, 1:00-5:00 PM at the City
Mall Kabankalan City. A total of thirteen (13) schools in southern
Negros Occidental, both private and public, participated by sending two
of their Grade 10 students as their representatives. Mind Rush 2017
provided an avenue for friendly competition among the participating
schools. The team from Kabanlalan Catholic College won the first
place. This event was facilitated by the different college units namely
the College of Engineering and Computer Studies, Office for Institution-
al Advancement, the Research Office and the Institute of Electronics
Engineers of the Philippines (IECEP) FBC Student Chapter.
A Lenten presentation entitled The Redeemer was sponsored by
Fellowship Baptist College last April 12, 2017 (Holy Wednesday) 4:00-
5:00 pm at the City Mall Kabankalan City. Selected students and

remembrance of the sacrifices of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

tunity to minister by sharing the message of salvation to those who
were present.
Campus Bible Fellowship FBC-Chapter joined in the RENOWN 2016
Regional Conference with its enthralling theme, The God-
centeredness of God and His Global Renown, at Talisay City last Au-
gust 27-29, 2016. Renown is an annual gathering of Campus Bible
Fellowship Leaders from different campuses in the Philippines.
