It is my sincere pleasure to write a letter recommending Leena Saleh for an
instructional coach position. I worked with Leena for two years as her instructional
coach. Throughout those two years I have had the opportunity to watch her develop
her instructional pedagogy and to raise student achievement among a diverse
student population. She collaborates with her colleagues and is professional with all
of the stake holders she works with. Ms. Saleh would make a valuable addition to
your staff.
Over those two years at STEM Launch, Mrs. Saleh developed a progressive approach
to teaching, and has become very proficient at planning and implementing
developmentally appropriate, hands-on inquiry based science lessons. Leena has a
strong knowledge of STEM and the implementation need to make teachers
successful in the area of STEM. She realizes that twenty first century skills are vital
to the growth of students.
Leena worked with many different teachers to plan and implement instruction.
When working with her she took the lead in our coaching cycles and used them to
enhance student achievement. She understands the critical role of the instructional
coach in everyday instruction. Asking tough questions while being intentional,
thoughtful and most importantly respectful is a skill that Mrs. Saleh has mastered.
In short, Mrs. Saleh is an excellent teacher. Not only does she have a full knowledge
of STEM, she knows how to implement to raise student achievement. She is
thoughtful, reflective and committed to life-long learning and continued
development as an educator. I feel confident that Leena Saleh will make a
significant contribution as an instructional coach. I give her my recommendation for
