Vitamin A(Retinol)

General information/Applications:

Vitamin A is a fat-soluble compound

and it often also called retinol and
carotenoids. Vitamin A helps keep
the functioning of the immune
system of the body intact.
Moreover, Vitamin A is required for
development of human in terms of
normal functioning of visual system,
cell growth, epithelial growth, RBCs
production and reproductive organs
functioning. Vitamin A also help
prevent human from catching illness
such as diarrhoea and other respiratory infections. Preformed vitamin A(retinol, retinoic
acid, and retinyl esters), the type of vitamin most active in human, is generally used as
supplements. However, high intake of vitamin A as supplements could be toxic.
