Sea to Shining Sea!!

Envision an ocean that is so clean that you could see all of the beautiful fish swimming
beneath your boat. Imagine that no animals get poisoned from pollution. It would be a miracle.
For hundreds of years, human waste has been emptied right into the ocean, and sea animals have
suffered greatly. The last major oil spill was in 2010. It was off of the Gulf of the Mexico. It was
the largest oil spill ever recorded. Although it was an accidental oil spill, it still wreaked havoc
on many marine-life, birds, and even humans. That spill alone was estimated more than 206
million gallons of oil! Although much of the oil has been cleaned up, there is still oil remnants
and long-term effects to the sea life and water surrounding it. The ocean is an amazing world of
unknown sea creatures and attractive coral reefs. And we as humans need to work together to
clean the ocean and prevent any waste or oil spill that could completely deteriorate the sea life.
The main source for pollution in the water is sewage. Sewage constantly drains into the ocean
every day. We need to create sewage systems that effectively get rid of the waste, but does not
dump right into the ocean. The next leading ocean pollutant are Air Pollutants. Because there are
so many factories and industries, the air is constantly contaminated with pollution. Whether it be
Carbon Dioxide (which we breathe out in Cellular Respiration) or Sulfur Dioxide (which comes
from electricity and fuel combustion), pollution will stay in the air for as long as we live.
Therefore, we need to cut down industrial pollution because the air will pollute the water,
eventually poisoning the ocean animals. In summary, we as humans need to work together to
keep Gods green Earth as clean as He left it. Speaking of which, Jesus would support this cause
because He wants us to be stewards of the earth. Therefore, we are supposed to keep this world
clean. Psalm 24:1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the Lords and the fullness thereof, the world
and those who dwell therein. This tells us that we the Lord is in dominion of the world.
Therefore, we are not to pollute it for those who treat the Lords world foolishly, will go
punished when His judgement comes. So why would we want to treat the Lords earth foolishly,
when all we have to do is be respectful. In conclusion, we need to strive to keep the Lords earth
clean (which includes the ocean) to our fullest ability.
