I dont like my topic.

Groups can swap topics, as long as both groups agree.

What to talk about?

Pick one aspect below to present:
1. Societys condition. Describe the social, economic, political situation for the
development of this technology/product/service in Malaysia.
2. The technological need. Describe the engineering problem that were solved or need to
be solved.
3. How technology grew to meet that need. Describe the evolution of the
technology/field. For example, from ancient age to industrial age to modern age.
4. The current state of the field. Describe the present state of the
technology/product/service.
5. How students can contribute to the future field of knowledge. Describe how graduates
can contribute to the development of this technology.

Huh? I still dont understand

For example, lets say your topic is Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC).
1. Societys condition. Describe the social, economic, political situation for the
development or growth of fried chickens in Malaysia.
2. The technological need. Describe the engineering problem that were solved or need to
be solved in KFC. Perhaps logistics (how to get so many chickens fresh to every store?),
operational (how to get the same taste every time?), research & development (how
they research new recipes?), etc
3. How technology grew to meet that need. Where was fried chicken invented? By who?
When? How did it change over the years? Has the technology or the way fried chicken is
made changed over the years?
4. The current state of the field. How are fried chickens made currently?
5. How students can contribute to the future field of knowledge. How technology can
contribute to make better, tastier, faster fried chicken? Or perhaps the use of air drones
to deliver fried chicken, can refer to research by Amazon.

Help! I still cant link to my topic

Email me questions, or make an appointment to see me.

Can I propose a different topic? My proposed topic is engineering/technology

related and in Malaysia.
Sure. But you need to confirm the topic with me 1 week before your scheduled presentation.
