Sts. Cyril and Methodius

MOST REV. MARTIN S. JUMOAD, DD

Archbishop of Ozamis
Chairman, Dan-ag sa Dakbayan Broadcasting Corpoation

Your Excellency:

After I got the appointment from you benevolent office last December 2016
assigning me to be the Assistant to the DXDD Station manager Fr. Edgar
Canama, I immediately reported to the office and spent the said month
observing the employees and orienting myself with the systems and dynamics
of the different departments of the station.

As of February of this year, allow me to share with you initial progress report of
the DXDD Radio Station.

1. My daily office reporting and accompanying them in their sales and

programs made encourage the employees, deters their absences and
tardiness and laxity over their respective task.

2. The employees become responsive with the set of discipline I

implemented. In the Station, every transaction has to pass through my
office before it reaches to the Station Managers approval.

3. The Station is financially struggling although not losing, particularly due

to the delayed remittances of the National and Local Ads proceeds.
Moreover, the stations standing fund was depleted because it has
invested in acquiring a new digital transmitter that is technically
competitive and energy efficient compare to the old analog transmitter.
But as I reiterate, this is not a loss, rather, a long term investments
gearing toward wider coverage and financial stability.

4. The Marketing department is challenged to double its effort in sales and

promotion in order to cope with financial operational expenses.
5. Being so particular with financial ins and outs, I always see to it that I
check every transaction taken in the Finance department, so as to avoid
any dubious and anomalous activity by any employee.

6. As to programming, the station is consistent in its Media Evangelization

mission though the different religious and socio-civic programs aiming at
defending and promoting the Catholic faith and culture.

7. The Station continues, despite its meagre resources, to do charitable acts

through its operation tabang program in partnership with the Society of
St. Vincent de Paul and other generous benefactors.

8. While maintaining the Stations commercial value, I always see to it that

the Catholic integrity of the Station be always upheld and never
compromised, like partisan politics, politically corrupted media personnel
and other anomalous practices, as well as advetizers that promote values
contrary to ours.

I hope for Your Excellencys constant blessing and support.

I remain

Respectfully in Christ,

FR. LHEM J. NAVAL, MA, LLB
